Turn2Us benefits calculator training Bristol

Date: 18th May 2017, 10:30 - 14:00

Venue address: Baptist Mills, Easton, Bristol, BS5 0FJ, South West of England

The workshop is open to all HIA staff and volunteers offering front line advice, support or information to individuals in financial hardship. The workshops are designed for people who are not benefit experts but want to know where to find the latest information and updates on welfare benefits and grants.

The workshop will cover:
  • How to use the Turn2us Intermediaries Benefits Calculator and Grants Search tool.
  • How to access other resources including Find an Adviser and information on benefits and charitable grants.
  • The features and benefits of a MyTurn2us account, which enables intermediaries to apply directly to grant-giving charities online and to save benefit calculations.
  • Where to find the latest information on benefit changes including the roll out of universal credit, localised council tax support and housing benefit

And there will also be lots of opportunities for questions, answers and sharing of ideas throughout.

Turn2us is a national charity that helps people in financial hardship to gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services.

They do this through their websitehelpline, and also by providing training workshops to their partners so they can provide face-to-face advice using our online tools. They also give direct financial support through a number of charitable funds, including the Elizabeth Finn Fund
