Working within the Home Environment Assessment and Response Team (HEART) the post holder will be part of a busy, dynamic team delivering a wide range of disabled adaptations and housing solutions for older people, disabled adults and disabled children from within one shared service. The HEART team is an innovative partnership between Warwickshire County Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth, North Warwickshire, Rugby, Stratford and Warwick District and Borough Councils with Occupational Therapists and Housing Assessment Officers working together from the five areas within the same team. The service has led on new ways of working to deliver an efficient and cohesive service for its customers.
Specifically this will include inspections of dwellings, providing advice to other professionals, commissioning work and technical auditing of Disabled Facilities Grant works and other financial assistance schemes such as home owner repair grants. The post holder will be responsible for detailed technical support and designing basic schemes of improvement, repairs and adaptation tailored to meet the specific needs of individual clients.
The post holder will be committed to excellent customer service, be able to manage their own caseload and work flexibly utilising best practice and technical knowledge to meet the demands of service users.
